Python backend engineer full time remote

About the job Backend Engineer (ecommerce Platforms/Subscription Billings) - USA - Fully Remote) We are delighted to be on the market on behalf of our client a subscription-based eCommerce company looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to help architect and scale the infrastructure that powers our digital ecosystem. This is a fully remote role (U.S.-based) where you’ll work on high-impact projects across web apps, mobile apps, e-commerce, and integrated systems. What You’ll Do Design and maintain AWS-based microservices (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3). Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and data pipelines in Python/Django. Architect and manage MySQL databases to handle high-volume transactions and analytics. Support integrations across e-commerce, LMS, and mobile platforms. Implement and refine CI/CD pipelines and ensure code quality. Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions. What We’re Looking For 3–5 years of backend/software engineering experience. Strong proficiency in Python/Django and MySQL. Hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch). Background in building microservices and scalable APIs. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing. Knowledge of e-commerce or subscription platforms is a strong plus.
